This watercolor work came out pretty good to me, but I think I screwed up Bay Thorn's face, so it was a no go. Still interesting in its own right, so I present it to you. Watercolor is NOT easy. Fun but not easy.

It may not be easy, but it's gorgeous!

Bay Thorn I'm guessing is the one on the far left(bucksin male?). Eh, his face isn't so bad. It's somewhat narrower than the does', but I don't see anything else that could be iffy.

Each chamilin looks a little different like humans do. Yes, the buck on the left is father Bay Thorn.
You'll see how the chamilin heads and faces have evolved...becoming longer and more deer-faced rather than human-faced. The Elf Quest influence is being weeded out. It's for the best. Not planning on stepping on WaRP Graphics' toes. (I did a parody of Elf Quest and sent it to them. No reply, but no law suit either. Lemmee know if anybody wants to know the particulars of that story).

What is Elf Quest exactly? Is it a book series, or an online comic or something-?

Elf Quest has been around since the late 1980's. Neat story about a tribe of elves called Wolf Riders who want to know if there's anybody else out there in the world like them (a tip off from a wandering human). Hence--Elf "Quest".
Very good characters, memorable ones. I like Sky Wise myself. Sassy, slick and silver-haired, kind of a ladies' man. Go to WaRP Graphics online and see what the broohaha is about. They still publish it. Richard and Wendy Pini.

Hmmm...Thanks! I do watercolors a little different from others, I guess. I shoulda saved the pictures I painted from high school to put on dA. Three different horses (varying colors) that ended up looking more like acrylic paintings. Esp. the palomino horse... :shrug: Oh well. Glad you liked it. :)
